Much research has been conducted on the recently rediscovered therapeutic properties of wild natural honey, particularly by Dr Peter Molan, an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the Honey Research Unit in the University of Waikato here in New Zealand.  For many years honey has been prized for its healing properties and sweet taste.
